Protecting Pollinators, People and the Planet
Innovation at the Service of Bees
The World Bee Project supports, connects and amplifies new technologies and scientific work to study and improve the health and wellbeing of bees and other pollinators.
We Need Bees
Honeybees and other pollinators are a vital link in the ecological chain that we rely on for our wellbeing. Over 75% of the nutritious food we eat is the result of bee pollination. We also rely on pollinators for clean air and healthy soil. Without pollinators life as we know it would come to an end.
The Bees Need Us
Human activities like intensive farming, urban sprawl and deforestation are placing devastating pressures on pollinators. Pollinators need us to use all our ingenuity to better understand our ecosystems the effects they are having on pollinator health
Connecting Hives, Connecting Lives
The challenges that pollinators face are complex. The World Bee Project uses AI, data analytics and IoT, and works with local communities and global organisations to merge social, environmental and economic benefits to positively impact the future of Pollinators, People, and the Planet.
The World Hive Network©
The World Hive Network© uses cutting edge remote sensor technology to gather real time bee ‘intelligence’ from monitored hives all over the world. Powered by Oracle’s cloud services, it is the world’s first global bee database.
World Bee City©
World Bee City© is a global initiative to transform urban design by placing pollinators at the heart of a rethinking of cityscapes to benefit the wellbeing of all city inhabitants including its flora and fauna.
World Bee Mark©
The World Bee Mark© tells consumers that a product on a store shelf was produced on a farm that has adopted pollinator-friendly practices.
